Lewis R2LEWIS Rollo returned to the track again last weekend in the second round of the Scottish Superstock 600 Championship at Knockhill.

Coming hot off the back of an impressive first outing on the Shirlaws Motorcycles Kawasaki ZX6R, the youngster from Gifford, East Lothian was bursting with confidence and eager to get back on track.

With an unfavourable weather report for the weekend, Rollo refused to let the rain dampen his spirits.

Proceedings got a healthy start with Lewis qualifying on Pole on the Saturday and then finishing the afternoon off with his first victory of the weekend.

Come Sunday morning the weather hadn’t got any better, Lewis talks us through the day Sunday never really went to plan. In race one I managed to win, but then in race two I had brake fade and ran straight on into the gravel. I got back on track and managed to get up to fourth by the chequered flag. In the last race I got my brakes fixed and had an amazing battle with Paul and learnt loads, but just needed that wee bit of extra grip coming out the corners”

As the weekend closed out Lewis took first in Race one and fourth in race two of the Scottish Lewis R2.1Championship, squeezing ten points between him and second in the championship.

Lewis also competed in the KMSC Superstock 600 races taking two wins and a second place.

The third round of the Scottish championship will once again be held at Knockhill June 6th-7th.
