Rollo Starts the Scottish

LEWIS Rollo used his weekend off from racing in the Pirelli National Superstock 1000 championship, by racing in the Scottish Superbike championship.

The teenager had been experiencing lack of grip with the rear of his MSS Colchester Kawasaki ZX10RR and used his spare time to work hard on understanding his steed.

Lewis progressively worked through settings in the Kawasaki ZX10RR to reduce his lap time down to a 50.2s lap over the weekend.

“This last weekend I headed up to my local track knockhill” Said Lewis “It was the first round of the Scottish Superbike Championship. On Friday, we had practice and it was great to get out on a track I knew really well. We tried a lot of new things with the bike to see what would work and what wouldn’t to help understand the ZX10RR a little more. On Saturday, I qualified 2nd behind Chrissy Rouse. We made changes all day improving lap times but only managed to finish 2nd in the 3 races.”

“On Sunday, I was happy with the way the bike was handling but we changed the gearing just to try different gear patterns. and in the last race I led for the first half but then Chrissy came past me beating the lap record. I managed to go with him, but, unfortunately made a mistake and couldn’t make a move on the last lap. Over all the weekend was mega we learnt loads and tried loads. Now onto Oulton Park this weekend for round three of the Pirelli National Superstock 1000 championship, can’t wait to get out on the ZX10RR and hopefully move forward!”
